Problem
Dentistry on Thornhill Woods was based out of Vaughan, Ontario and they wanted to utilize online advertising to get more customers. They approached us inquiring about starting Facebook and Instagram ads to get their business in front of more people looking for a dentist.
Solution
We did a competitor analysis and suggested that they shouldn’t advertise on Facebook and Instagram, but rather on Google Ads. Our reasoning was that when a person looks for a dentist, they usually search on Google (if they don’t get referred) to evaluate which dentist would be best for their needs. If we were to advertise on Facebook and Instagram, we would be reaching who were, perhaps, thinking about going to the dentist.
Before we could craft our Google ads campaign, we had to update the site’s performance and design. So, we updated the design and tweaked the performance of the site so that Google would have an easier time serving the site to people. Then, we created a tight landing page that included all the services and easy methods to book an appointment.
Only then could we craft the Google ads campaign. We researched keywords that people in the area were searching for when it came to finding a dentist. Then, we utilized the best performing keywords and created search ads that highlighted what was unique about the services of Dentistry on Thornhill Woods.
Results
We targeted a population within a few mile radius of the dental office and within a month, we managed to get a click-through-rate that was much higher than the industry average. With a CTR of 5.8%, we were much higher than the 1.38% industry average. With an air-tight ad strategy, we then focused more on getting higher conversions on the landing page by constantly tweaking the design and copy.
