CASE STUDY
Movin' Electric Vehicles
Advertising
Problem
An electric bike company based out of Toronto was already running Google ads, but wanted to take advantage of the visual options that Facebook and Instagram offered. They wanted to run ads with captivating pictures and videos to better capture their audience online.
Solution
We created an advertising campaigns that targeted food deliverers and recreational riders, with copy that differentiated between the two target markets. We targeted younger males for deliverers, and all ages for recreational riders. We also implemented a third campaign that targeted an audience who needed to get their bicycle or e-bike repaired, since there was always an opportunity to upsell once they visited the store to repair their bikes.
We delivered visuals that caught the audience’s attention with bright colors and to-the-point messaging. The copy showcased the benefits of their e-bikes and electrics bikes in general. Since our initial campaigns were during the winter, we also emphasized on how water-proof and safe the e-bikes were. The ads led Facebook and Instagram users to relevant pages on the website, where they would either purchase products, book e-bike test rides, or contact the store.

Results
The combination of eye-catching visuals and effective copy led to some of the highest return-on-ad-spend that we witnessed. We saw specific campaigns at 84x return-on-ad-spend! With around 1.8% click-through-rates. At first, we had to double-check whether the website was reporting accurate results, and to our excitement, we concluded that the website was reporting correctly.
When there’s a target market that is primed to buy and you offer stellar products and services, digital marketing is the spark that lights the flames to high sales.
As of now, you can see Movin’ e-bikes all across the Greater Toronto Area, and word is that they’re expanding.
